Show how many minutes have been used by code - so the therapists can see how much is remaining.
Right now you have to run a billing review to see how many units have been used, and compare that to how much was authorized. It needs to be simpler so the therapists can easily see this information.

The software should allow saving/archiving/recall of all claims - original, corrected, voids, etc.
I am coming from the world of Central Reach. Did you know, in Central reach, when you generate a claim, that original claim is then always in the system. Unchanged.
If one needs to generate a corrected claim, they generate a NEW CORRECTED CLAIM - and the ORIGINAL WRONG CLAIM is still in the system, able to be reviewed and viewed, even printed. The system retains all claims - I could generate 12 corrected claims for the same DOS, and find all 12 of them in the system chronological.
Why on earth does NPA not do this?!?!?! Overwrite the original…

Auto-Transfer Unpaid Balance to Secondary/Patient Resp. for Manual Payments
It would be nice if NPAWorks could automatically transfer manually-created Payments that have a remaining balance to the client's Secondary insurance (if they have one) or to the Patient Responsibility portion
This is cumbersome for Manual Postings since an additional Transfer to Patient Resp. transaction must be done each time - it would be nice for this behavior to be the same for either Payment type.

Exclude Prior Statements Charges When Generating New Ones - Eliminate Duplicate
To avoid duplicate posting of payments, it would be useful for the Statements feature to exclude charges that have been billed on a previous statement, or to simply add a section that shows unpaid charges from previous periods.

Global Mileage Rate for Staff
It would be convenient to have a global mileage rate that could be entered in Settings -> HR Management that would auto-insert this rate whenever adding a new Pay Code to a staff profile.
Tools to Propagate Rate Changes to future or past dates would also be helpful to manage Mileage rates in-bulk (a table keeping track of changes/propagations would also be nice)

Add Column on Client View screen to see the Preauth Status
Right now only the Contract/authorization BEG and end dates populate on the Client Screen. It would be very helpful to have an additional column, showing the Status of the Preauth- so have a drop down to State Auth 1- Progress Reports, Auth 2- Submitted to INS Auth-3 Rcv'd Verbal Auth, Auth 4-Rcv'd Written Auth...and so on.

Allow custom flex reports
There should be an option to add any data point to any flex report. For example, You should be able to add client DOB and account number to the insurance billing claims tracker, however they are not part of the column options. By allowing to import any data point in the column option, you should be able to build any report than you want. You would still have your default base reports, similar to what you have now, but giving us the power to manipulate the data in any way we see fit can solve 90% of the requests about…

The ability to export particular EOB payment info from NPAWorks per-client would aid in submission of uncovered charges.

Show authorization start and end date for reports
Before NPA was updated, we were able to see when the client authorization started and when it ended. This really helped staff know when to start writing progress reports.

Restrict appts in Contract Fulfillment to contract start/end dates
It would be great to have an option for the Contract Fulfillment flex report to restrict the data returned to show just the dates of the active contract only.
This is because sometimes appointments are recurred way past the end of the contract end date, and these additional appointments can distort the report results.

Increase Character Limit for Service Record display codes
Since display codes for Services are displayed fro scheduling purposes, we find it would be helpful to have a higher char. limit for them as to notate BCBA vs. BT variants of a particular service.

Clinical Notes to be produced in a Professional Standard Format
When Running Clinical Notes, each client should be on a separate document and not on an Excel sheet. This should be similar format to how NPA runs invoices, services logs, and other individual PDF or word documents. This would appear clean, professional, and meet HIPAA standards.
